35.2 Application

Given the fact that the Convention is now closed for signature, only the five states which have already signed the UNWC but not (yet) ratified, accepted or approved it can still do so – depending on their respective national legal requirements.All other states only have the option of acceding to the Convention. As stated before, however, the legal implications following an accession do not differ from the ones following ratification.
